I am a staunch supporter for harnessing of more and more innovations and technological changes useful for the industry to facilitate growth; At the same time I also believe that the same has to be beneficial for the society also...
It has to be both ways to be meaningful, Right?...........So that includes low-cost buildings, Green buildings, Innovative methods for low-cost construction, Energy efficient methods, Alternative to natural resources, Automation of the otherwise labor-intensive construction methodologies,Harnessing the latest developments in technological developments and a lot more.
More of Eco-friendly and Greener methods could be made use of in construction resulting in supporting the noble cause of trying to make our world devoid of the worries of global warming, climate change and such other things.
Wishful thinking it might be, but we need to use Sustainable technologies within the construction industry so that we also contribute positively within our industry for supporting the global campaign to protect our earth for the future generations in the best possible manner given the challenges we have ahead of us!
Construction industry could benefit much more also by appropriately harnessing the benefits of Information Technology and other related developments by putting to best use the recent developments available.
Wish to see more and more complex tasks in construction supported by the aid of software's and hopefully more and more organizations would invest in this to come out with the best possible solutions.
We are still using sometimes outdated technologies in CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY in several areas. We are not daring to get into unconventional thinking to bring in better technologies and solutions. No denying the fact that we could all work towards to make sure that the advantage of cutting edge technology relevant to Civil, Architectural, Environmental Engineering and other related areas could be made available like the same way it is used in many other industries.
We have a tendency to get into a comfort zone by accepting only time-tested techniques. A lot could change if we have a better interaction between institutions of higher learning and industries such that lab tests are soon extended to field trials and later into real life practical applications...........................
We can bring in a lot more productivity and harness the help of technology by concerted thinking and acting for the general interest by joining together of all the forces. In some cases, the issue is taking things forward. We come up with lab trials and invent a new product or technology. The next stage of propagating it is often more difficult than the innovation itself!
#Innovations are doing things differently from the existing choices and coming up with brilliant solutions. Such changes often bring in a lot of tangible and intangible benefits.
Making it possible for others to experience the value of these innovations is not an easy task. This is also about being aware of unpredictable elements, utilizing the available resources intelligently and coming up with unique ideas as unique as the innovation itself so that the commercial viability is maintained at all points of time.
Hope the bigger players in the segment would invest in research and show interest in taking things forward so that we do not have a gap between what we could develop and what we are implementing now.
Let us join our hands to make our earth a better place to live for the future generation..It is not very late yet!
"And Man created the plastic bag and the tin and aluminum can and the cellophane wrapper and the paper plate, and this was good because Man could then take his automobile and buy all his food in one place and He could save that which was good to eat in the refrigerator and throw away that which had no further use. And soon the earth was covered with plastic bags and aluminum cans and paper plates and disposable bottles and there was nowhere to sit down or walk, and Man shook his head and cried: "Look at this God......~Art Buchwald ..................................................................................................Suggested reading: http://www.pc-os.org/how-automation-technology-is-reshaping-the-construction-industry/ (Used one of those images from this web for this post.)
